 24.5" Guitar Fretboard Scale by DENNIS BROOKER
Here is a link to a 24.5" scale pattern that can be printed on regular 8.5" x 11" paper. In order for the scale to be printed to proper size you must right click on the image and then save it to your hardrive and then print it out. Because of everyone's different computer settings it will most likely not print to scale if you print it directly

Basically, a magnetic pickup is a magnet with wire wrapped around it. The two ends of the wire connect to an output jack. Real simple. Any kind of magnet and any kind of thin copper wire will work. Just make sure you sand off any insulation on the ends of the wire, so you get a good connection with the output jack. Click here for more details

Audacity is a free audio editor. You can record sounds, play sounds, import and export WAV, AIFF, Ogg Vorbis, and MP3 files, and more. Use it to edit your sounds using Cut, Copy and Paste (with unlimited Undo), mix tracks together, or apply effects to your recordings.
 It also has a built-in amplitude envelope editor, a customizable spectrogram mode and a frequency analysis window for audio analysis applications. Built-in effects include Echo, Change Tempo, and Noise Removal, and it also supports VST and LADSPA plug-in effects.

- Audacity Tutorial: Audacity is great free multitrack audio software, available for all popular platforms including Linux. This is a short tutorial that you can follow on your own machine, which should leave you with a complete music track. First, download tracks 1 and 2 and track 3 and save them to your hard drive. Then get these files into Audacity one at a time using Project - Import Audio:
