I recently unearthed this one-page ad for a cigar box building contest in a January 1924 issue of Science & Invention magazine. The publication challenged its readers to create new things from empty boxes. Of course, a one-string cigar box violin is the first to be mentioned. Also curious are the projector, filing cabinet and toys.
Hmm... maybe there should be a CigarBoxGuitars.com Cigar Box Contest. We could splurge and offer a whopping $100 in prizes! LOL. What do you think?

Monthly wages were about $35+, so $25 was good money back then? Great find Shane!!
